Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer at the Canadian Musicians Co-operative and join our mission to assist emerging Canadian artists to overcome barriers, build strong networks, and develop sustainable, self-directed artistic practices. The Canadian Musicians Co-operative is proud of our diverse community, serving members with disabilities, women, people of colour, the LGBTQIA+ community, rural and low-income participants, and Indigenous artists. Volunteer with the Co-op today and feel great about making a difference in your community! Additionally, we welcome volunteers specialized in bookkeeping, law, web design, or grant writing to assist with the Co-op’s year-round business needs.

As a volunteer for the Co-op, you can play a vital role in our “No More Starving Artist” (NMSA) program, an initiative that has rescued over 65,000 lbs of food and provided over 12,500 meals to our community. NMSA volunteers can get involved by sorting and packing food and fulfilling online or curbside orders. Volunteers with access to a vehicle can help us pick up and bring back food boxes from retailers.

The Co-op also offers volunteer opportunities at our summer showcases.  Showcase volunteers assist our audience and contribute to backstage set-up and teardown.
